Meaning
A snake or dragon eating its own tail, first drawn in Egyptian funerary texts and carried into Greek alchemy, where its name was coined: tail-eater. It stands for cycles that renew themselves, eternity, and the unity of ending and beginning. Jung read it as the psyche digesting its own shadow.
Worn
On a ring the ouroboros is a literal circle: the band is the serpent. Wear it through a season that has to end for the next one to begin.
